1-on-1 with 10Twenty-Four’s CEO
I am a wife, a mother an entrepreneur, a life coach and more. I'm from Los Angeles, where my family and I lived until adulthood. At the age of 13 yrs. old was when I understood what the prison system can do to families. My father was convicted of an 8 year prison sentence for defending himself. As I got older. I started seeing a few of my male friends get arrested and go to jail, and then incarceration became a big part of my life. Having to be a young teen girl without a father for eight years and experiencing loved ones and peers going to jail did a lot to my heart. Remembering how I felt and the hardship I faced greatly affected my life. I created 10Twenty-Four to support kids and teens like me and help families like mine. For me, to be able to overcome and beat the odds associated with having an incarcerated parent is a blessing. It's an honor for me to be able to bring awareness to the prison system and be the voice and ears for the ' forgotten victims,' which are the children and families who suffer the most from incarceration. My goal at 10Twenty-Four is to keep families together.

Then those "sheep' are going to say, Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you Hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you? Then the King will say, 'I'm telling the solemn truth. Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me, you did it to me.
Matthew 25:37-40

Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering
Hebrews 13:1-3
